Vee Pollock

Vee Pollock is a higher education professional with a strong passion for maximising young people's engagement with the arts. She is currently Newcastle University's Dean of Culture and Creative Arts with responsibility for developing strategic initiatives that maximise opportunities for arts and humanities subject areas to deliver across the University's core strategies of education for life, research for discovery and impact, global, and engagement and place. She also oversees the management of the University's cultural venues and key cultural relationships. Her work is embedded in partnership working, co-production and collaboration. She was recently elected Chair of Newcastle's emerging cultural compact.

Vee has a degree and PhD in Art History from the University of St Andrews, and previously worked at Glasgow University and the University of Central Lancashire. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
