We are seeking new Advisory Board Members

25 June 2020

Are you passionate about the power of arts and culture to change children’s lives for the better?

Culture Bridge North East (CBNE) is seeking new Advisory Board members. The Advisory Board provides support, challenge and scrutiny to the CBNE programme, makes decisions about our investments and champions our work. CBNE, managed by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM), is funded by Arts Council England to be a bridge between the education and culture sectors; working to ensure that every young person growing up in our region has a childhood rich with excellent arts and culture. CBNE is a strategic, capacity building programme. We support those who make arts, culture and heritage accessible and relevant for children and young people. Our approach is driven by building and managing partnerships, developing practice, and making investments.

Currently funded until 2022, we are looking for new Advisory Board members to help ensure we make the greatest possible impact on the lives of children and young people in our region. You’ll need to be passionate about the power of arts and culture to change children’s lives for the better, and understand how to take strategic approaches to making change. We’ll need you to fully participate in our Advisory Board, bringing objectivity and impartiality to discussions and decisions. You’ll be a champion and spokesperson for CBNE, and use your networks to broker connections for us that will help us achieve our aims.

We are keen to ensure our Board represents the geography of the North East, so would particularly welcome interest from the Tees Valley and Northumberland.

To arrange an informal discussion please contact Catherine Hearne, Chair of the Advisory Board by email in the first instance: catherinehearne@btinternet.com
