Opportunity to tender – Creative Classrooms: Events Producer

Culture Bridge North East (CBNE) is seeking to commission a consultant to design and deliver a new and exciting creative CPD offer for schools across the North East.

This will include the organisation of an annual training event/conference as well as developing and sourcing content for a virtual CPD programme throughout the year, working alongside a communications consultant.

The work is part of the wider CBNE programme, managed by Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums and funded by Arts Council England, to ensure that every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of high-quality arts and culture.

This work will support teachers to develop their creative skills and confidence in order to support curriculum development in light of the proposed changes to the new OFSTED inspection framework. The framework will place more importance on assessing whether schools are offering a “broad, rich and deep” curriculum. Inspectors will evaluate the overall “quality of education”, moving away from a focus on outcomes and giving teaching practice the opportunity for a creative rejuvenation.

The successful contractor will work with CBNE from April 2019 to September 2020 in the first instance

They will undertake research, consultation and relationship building with schools networks and will produce and deliver, in collaboration with CBNE, our CPD programme of work from September 2019 – September 2020. The commission has the opportunity to be extended further.

A document containing further information and details of how to submit a quotation can be obtained by emailing charlotte.dack@twmuseums.org.uk.

Deadline: 7th March 2019
