Beamish Museum

Beamish Museum tells the story of everyday life of people from the Region in an immersive way. The Museum areas are 1900s Colliery Village, 1900s Town, 1820s Waggonway and Old Hall, 1940s War Time Farm and 1950s Suburb Development. educational activities focus on Evacuees, Victorian Lessons, Local History of Coal Mining, and Immersive Enquiry. Norman Cornish's mid terrace house offers the opportunity to deliver Arts Award.
