Tyneside Cinema offers opportunities for children and young people aged eight to 24 to get involved in film, learn and develop skills, and produce their own work.
Interactive filmmaking workshops for schools and teachers have an emphasis on play and enjoyment, and are linked to various curriculum subjects, engaging students intellectually, verbally and physically, while developing creative and personal skills.
A registered Arts Award Centre to Silver level, Tyneside Cinema also hosts interactive film screening study days for students of French, German, and Spanish, and three annual filmmaking academies in documentary, fiction, and artist film.
Tyneside Cinema is committed to providing opportunities to experience high quality, authentic filmmaking experiences, working alongside schools to achieve and sustain their Artsmark.
