Great North Museum: Hancock

<p>The Great North Museum: Hancock has diverse collections covering archaeology, natural sciences and world cultures. Highlights include a life-size replica skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, major displays showing the wonder and diversity of the animal kingdom, spectacular objects from Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, significant collections of prehistoric material, and a planetarium offering a unique insight into the wonders of the universe.<br></p> <p>The museum offers a high quality learning programme for schools and other<br>education groups. An experienced learning team develops and delivers the programme of resources and activities in disciplines including earth and life<br>sciences, archaeology, and early years engagement.<br></p> <p>A programme to support the delivery of Arts Award Discover and Explore is available to both formal and informal groups.</p>
