Thursday 13 February
Location: BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead Quays, South Shore, Gateshead, NE8 3BA
Time: 4.30pm - 6.30pm
What is social action? What does it mean to young people? What are the issues young people are interested in?
In this session with artist Bethan Maddocks you will explore how to engage with young people and social action. Learn from Bethan's work as part of the Virgin Money #iwill Creating Change programme, and see how she work with paper to engage young people in The Big Questions. In this CPD you will learn paper art skills whilst thinking about how you can work with your pupils and students on matters that are relevant to them.
Through this workshop you will develop good subject knowledge in accordance with Teaching Standards (3) and gain confidence in taking what you have learned back to the classroom.
