Elvie Thompson, Programme Manager
It’s my job to keep the good ship Culture Bridge North East sailing steadily in the right direction. That includes managing the team, leading our planning and reporting processes, assigning budgets and work, and making sure we keep focused on our ultimate goal: every young person in the North East having a childhood rich with arts and culture.
My background’s in heritage education and my last job was at the Council for British Archaeology, leading on their national engagement initiatives like the Festival of Archaeology and Young Archaeologists’ Club.
When I’m not at work I’ve often got my nose in a history book/documentary/museum. Otherwise I love anything that gets me outside, as well as music, fiction, board-and-card gaming, art and (vegetarian) food. All the good things in life!
