Beamish Museum offers a variety of activities and resources for school groups across the educational spectrum. Activities that may support schools to achieve Artsmark include Playhouse Tales for Key Stage 2, which enables children to perform their own pantomime, Key Stage 3 and 4 photography, which gets students into costume to take their own period portraits, Key Stage 1 model engineers, where the children make their own clay steam engine to take back to the classroom, and Once Upon a Time, for Key Stage 1, where children visit a fairy tale world full of elements from nursery rhymes and traditional tales, to support their understanding of the genre.
