Musinc is a musical inclusion resource that supports young people through Arts Award by developing and commissioning activities for them to enjoy, enabling musicians and those they support to learn and develop their skills.
To that end, Teesside musical inclusion network is a group of professionals from the youth and arts sectors, brought together by Musinc to share practice and expertise. Musinc’s focus is on those most in need in the local authority areas of Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, and Redcar and Cleveland.
This includes vulnerable, hard to reach young people facing significant challenges in their lives. Getting involved in making music can improve self esteem, mental health and wellbeing, increase tolerance and understanding, and enable young people to be confident in demanding situations.
