Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art

Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art’s (NGCA) education and outreach programme provides opportunities for people to access and engage with the
gallery and its exhibitions.

The gallery, which is now situated within the National Glass Centre, delivers talks, tours, workshops, and projects for primary and secondary schools, youth groups, community groups, colleges and universities, individuals and families.

The NGCA offers half and full day workshops for school groups working towards their Discover or Explore Arts Award. These are led by a professional artist, responding directly to the exhibition in place, and include a practical activity.

Workshops can include one or more art forms, as well as an introduction to the
organisation and staff. Curator-led tours are also available and self-led visits are welcomed.
