Creative Classrooms Films

We hope that these films help you to understand what our Creative Classrooms CPD programme for primary school teachers is all about. A new film will launch every term, detailing the unique creative journey of a North East school and will look at the steps they are taking to ensure that every pupil enjoys an education rich with arts and culture.

What is Creative Classrooms?

Creative Classrooms - a case study on Benton Dene Special School

The film below made with Benton Dene Special School focusses on how the teachers plan and adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of their SEN pupils. This would have been the first film in a two part series sadly due to COVID-19 the children were unable to continue with their performance and we, therefore, couldn't film the final production.

Creative Classrooms - a case study on Cragside Primary School

As part of our Creative Classrooms CPD programme for primary school teachers, we visited Cragside Primary School who ran a Shakespeare schools festival project in conjunction with Northern Stage.

The play chosen for the school was The Tempest and the main focus for the project was to embed it in standard lesson time and to ensure that the process was pupil led.
