Clare Elliott

As Programme Manager, I manage the team, lead on planning and reporting, and keep an overview on all our work to ensure that we are creating opportunities for all children and young people in the North East to have a rich cultural childhood.

I have over 20 years’ experience of working in the North East in both statutory and voluntary sector organisations as well as working for many years with the education sector and a broad range of partnerships to support positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

I most recently worked for Middlesbrough Council where I developed and managed Middlesbrough Achievement Partnership, which was set up to support improved outcomes for children and young people and help remove barriers to learning, enabling students to achieve the best life chances.

I enjoy many arts and cultural activities including travel, listening to music, music events and festivals, visiting the theatre, art, photography, yoga and I'm attempting to learn how to play the piano!
