Bill Griffiths, Head of Programmes and Collections at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums
Culture Bridge North East is a significant part of my work alongside taking an overview of the programmes at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums and ensuring the strong use and management of the nationally significant collections held there I also lead on the regional Museum Development Programme, and other regional partnerships. Most recently this has included working with the North East Cultural Partnership on a strategy to ensure all children and young people in the region can truly benefit from access to the arts and heritage. I am also a member of the Creative Case North Consortium which works to support the Cultural sector to put diversity at the heart of its programme content.
My background is in Roman Archaeology and I am mildly obsessed with Hadrian’s Wall where I chair its Learning and Interpretation group.
